Nous Round-up: Alber Elbaz Leaves Lanvin; Vogue's Sarah Mower on the souls of dearly departed designers

Post-Simons' Departure at DIOR, the fashion industry is digesting anew the latest move in Designers Musical Chair as Alber Elbaz leaves LANVIN, just a week after accepting the ‘Superstar’ award at Fashion Group International's Night of Stars in New York.

Hours before the said news broke, VOGUE editor Sarah Mower, in time for Halloween, reflects on the ghosts of storied fashion houses ( The Haunted Houses of Fashion: What Does It Mean to Conjure the Spirits of Departed Designers Now? ) and in another story, on the legacy (so far) of Elbaz ( Alber Elbaz Was Pushed Out at Lanvin; Vogue’s Sarah Mower Reflects on His Legacy )

More surprisingly, Elbaz happens to own a stake in the privately held company, the majority is controlled by Taiwanese publishing magnate Shaw-Lan Wang.

Again, Dior's top creative post has been recently vacated.
