CHANEL to showcase Cruise 2017 in Cuba

Just in time when Chanel's airport-themed clothes and international travel-inspired pieces have hit stores, the lucky showgoers, from editors to buyers, (we wouldn't mind this obligation of summertime travel) will be well-equipped as they'll get coasted to Havana, the capital of Cuba.

Karl Lagerfeld and Co. has been known for circling the globe, having hosted in the last two years Chanel Cruise and Metiers d'Arts shows in Seoul, Salzburg, Dubai and Dallas (with Rome on the docket for December). According to the press release from the mega-brand, Lagerfeld had his all eyes (and ears probably) into the whole "cultural richness and opening up of Cuba."

has become an It-capital -- a fountain of inspiration for labels like Proenza Schouler and its colorful streets as setting of many a fashion shoots.

As big-name brands have been trying to one-up each other every year, it's crystallizing that Latin America  -- LV is reportedly Brazil-bound in May -- is 2017's favored far-flung Resort destination.
